Set in a stunning location overlooking beautiful Devon countryside, Exeter Racecourse prides itself as being one of the UK’s most progressive tracks, with excellent facilities and transport links to match competitive racing throughout the National Hunt Season.

Exeter holds 15 great jump fixtures between October and May each year, with November’s Haldon Gold Cup Day, New Year’s Day racing, Children's Day and Ladies Night amongst the ever-popular highlights. Accompanied children aged 17 and under can come racing for free.

Exeter Racecourse is also a popular and fully-established Conference and Events Centre, open throughout the year to provide the perfect setting for any corporate or private event. The racecourse's recently-completed £2 million redevelopment scheme has doubled the size of existing conference facilities whilst adding to raceday hospitality and members’ facilities.

Exeter Racecourse has always attracted top horses and can boast many distinguished runners as having contested there over the years – it is renowned as a course where future champions begin their illustrious careers and where established stars return. The great Desert Orchid won his first chase at Exeter in 1985, before going on to become one of the greatest chasers of all time and a household name. One of the most famous racehorses to be seen at Exeter was the triple Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Best Mate, who won there three times. The mighty Denman, imperious winner of the 2008 Cheltenham Gold Cup, also got his career off to a winning start at Exeter whilst his stablemate, the dual Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Kauto Star, ran two of his first three races on English soil at Exeter after coming over from France as a novice.
