Is car parking free? Yes, all car parking at Exeter Racecourse is free of charge. On arrival at the racecourse, please park as directed by car park officials and have any car pass clearly visible on your windscreen.
Am I allowed to bring my dog with me on a raceday?
Dogs on leads are welcomed onto the centre of the course, provided that they are kept under strict control at all times. However, we regret that no dogs, with the exception of Guide Dogs, are permitted into the enclosures and stands. We advise racegoers to leave dogs at home and discourage them from leaving dogs in the cars during racing. Is there a dress code?
There is no formal dress code as such at Exeter Racecourse, although we encourage “smart causal” wear and advise racegoers to dress for the weather! Fancy dress is permitted at Exeter Racecourse on all days. However, fancy dress will not be permitted if it is liable to cause offence to any other racegoers on religious, sexual or political grounds. Exeter Racecourse reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone deemed to be dressed inappropriately. If your party is considering wearing fancy dress, and in order to avoid any disappointment on the day, we recommend that you call the racecourse on (01392) 832599. Please be aware that the above also relates to t-shirts carrying slogans that cause offense again on either religious, sexual or political grounds to other racegoers. In the event of one or all of your party being refused admission no refund will be offered. Is there a cash machine on site?
Yes, there is a cash machine situated in the Romany King Bar, although please note that this is only available on racedays. Is there disabled access and viewing at the Racecourse? There is a lift and disabled toilets inside both the Haldon and Brockman Stands, with handrails on every stairway and wheelchair ramps to all ground floor areas. We offer disabled viewing areas for wheelchair users beside the Paddock and at the top of the terrace in front of the Owners and Trainers Bar, as well as in the Haldon Stand’s viewing gallery. With regards to disabled parking, there is a limited number of disabled parking bays available to blue badge holders on a first-come, first-serve basis. Can I bring a picnic?
We ask racegoers not to bring food into the main enclosure and stands, although the racecourse offers a range of superb hospitality packages, restaurant and bar facilities in site, as well as a mobile burger van at the rear of the stands.
Do you cater for special diets? Yes, in all our private hospitality suites and the Desert Orchid Restaurant (i.e. pre-booked meals), we are more than happy to cater for any dietary requirements, provided that we are given sufficient notice. If you were to abandon a raceday for which I had bought tickets in advance, would I be able to get a refund?
In the event of racing being abandoned, refunds on tickets purchased will be paid as follows:
